A sparkling debut from a name to watch. Hurcom expertly weaves a tale of claustrophobic suspicion set in a Welsh village a few miles from Cardiff - but so inward-looking and insular you might as well be in another world. This is top notch historical crime fiction, with a dash of the supernatural. A gorgeous book and a riveting tale., David Young An intriguing debut., The Times A promising debut - gothic, claustrophobic and wonderfully dark., Guardian Wonderfully dark and creepy...I find it hard to believe this is Hurcom's first novel. It's creepy, disturbing, eerie, dark, spine-chilling and macabre in every way that a Gothic thriller should be. It will make you uneasy - but you won't want to put it down. There is a clever and quite brilliant final twist, Crime Review --Este texto se refiere a una edición agotada o no disponible de este título.. Sam Hurcom was born in Dinas Powys, South Wales in 1991. Gripping gothic supernatural thriller I devoured this book. It kept me in suspense throughout and gave nothing away. A true gothic thriller with a supernatural undercurrent set in a remote secluded little village. Don't be fooled into thinking that it's going to be cliche. It is anything but. The down side of reading this book is that it has to end. Leaves me wanting more!
What a great book This is a fantastic book. I really enjooyed it. The style really transported be back to a small village in the early 20th century. The principle character is strong and engaging and the plot exciting. I would recommend that you read this book.
A real page turner Brilliant book
