Romance blossoms under the stars in this feelgood love story for fans of Milly Johnson and Heidi Swain. Lily Harper is an events organiser, but her neat, ordered world has just exploded. First she lost her job, then she lost her fiancé. Her five-year plan is looking increasingly shaky. Lost and lonely, Lily heads home to her childhood village, and accepts the position of live-in housekeeper at the grand but welcoming Willow Tree Hall. It's not exactly her dream job – Lily is more used to arranging parties than pantries – but at least she's working. Her first task is to arrange the Willow Tree Hall summer fete. Lily is in her element, writing to-do lists and organising bunting and baking – until her old flame Jack Carter turns up in the village. Lily hasn't seen Jack in over ten years, when he sped off on his motorbike, taking with him the pieces of her broken heart. Lily vowed she would never forgive him. But as Willow Tree Hall weaves its magic, Lily finds she might just give Jack a second chance after all... Full of warmth, tears, love and laughter, this is a gripping romance for fans of Heidi Swain and Philippa Ashley.
Brand new central characters in the latest instalment of Willow Tree Hall This story centres around Lily, an events manager, and Jack, a fixer for a property developer. Both have family in, or close to Cranley, and were romantically involved when they were teenagers. Destiny brings them back home where they find new purpose and right the misconceptions of the past whilst working at Willow Tree Hall with Annie and her family and friends. The Hall itself is under threat and the local community rally to save it although the real saviour seems a bit too convenient, hence only 4 stars this time round.
Simply lovely. Lily Harper’s life of full of lists. She had everything all planned out, including her 5 year plan. Working as an events organiser and living with her boyfriend, life is almost on track. That is until she loses her boyfriend and her job and finds herself on her parents doorstep in Cranley. Lily soon finds herself welcomed by the open arms of the family at Willow Tree Hall and life take unexpected turns. I have loved every moment of this Willow Tree series and can only hope there are more to come. Each one reads perfectly as a stand alone novel but when you read the full series one after the other you fall in love with the village, the hall and all the characters more and more. I guarantee, by the end of this series you’ll be wishing you were a part of the gang as well!
Great series, excellent book, lovely characters. This is the latest in a series about the people who live, work, and visit at Willow Tree Hall - an extended family that I would love to be a part of. This instalment did not disappoint, and I read it with a smile in my face. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next one!!
