The Geordie Murder Retired Police Inspector Eric Ward has retrained as a solicitor. After the Tyne shipyards closed, there is little hope of a job. Many turn to money lenders. It's a thuggish business. Ward is hoping to have one of the money lenders lose his licence. A young girl is kidnapped. So many hopeless beings are using heroin. What dangers will Ward find himself thrust into.
Interesting storyline A solicitor’s life is not usually so exciting, but the storyline is grittily realistic and Eric Ward is an intriguing main character. A flawed character who doesn’t fully appreciate his intelligent, lovely wife. It might be worth building her character up a little more in what I am sure will be further Eric Ward books .
The Geordie Murder by Roy Lewis Refreshingly different, a book with a solicitor as the detective, and an older one with health problems too. This is a story that fills one with interest, and the guessing game begins. Who, why,and how. But I doubt if your answers are all correct. Certainly addictive, do read it.
